Arc. Ifeoluwa Akande, Chairman of the Samuel Ladoke Akintola Airport Upgrade Committee, has commended the Executive Governor of Oyo State, Engr. Seyi Makinde, for what he described as his exemplary leadership and unwavering commitment to the development of Oyo State.
Akande praised Governor Makinde’s administration for prioritising infrastructure, education, healthcare, security, youth empowerment and good governance, noting that the achievements recorded under the Omituntun agenda have brought significant transformation to communities across the state.
According to him, Governor Makinde’s people-centred policies, transparency and performance-driven leadership have earned him the trust, admiration and confidence of the people, setting a benchmark for purposeful governance.
He pledged to sustain and promote the Governor’s developmental legacy by supporting initiatives that will deepen grassroots development, empower youths and women, improve community welfare and encourage inclusive governance.

Akande also declared his support for Governor Seyi Makinde to emerge as President of Nigeria in the future, expressing confidence in his leadership capacity to replicate his developmental achievements on the national stage.
In the same vein, he endorsed the governorship ambition of Hon. Abimbola Adekanmbi under the Allied Peoples Movement (APM), describing him as a capable and visionary leader who can consolidate on the developmental foundation already laid in Oyo State.
He reaffirmed his loyalty to Governor Makinde’s vision and urged residents of Oyo State to remain steadfast in their support for the Governor’s developmental ideals while also rallying behind the APM and its governorship candidate, Hon. Abimbola Adekanmbi. He stressed that collective commitment and responsible leadership remain essential to sustaining the state’s impressive developmental strides and delivering greater prosperity for the people.
