Youths of the Allied Peoples’ Movement (APM), support groups and members of the disability community have expressed appreciation to Asiwaju (Dr.) Seun Fakorede, Director of Youth Mobilisation and Strategy for the senatorial campaign organisation of Rt. Hon. Adedeji Dhikrullahi Olajide, popularly known as Odidiomo, for purchasing over 200 tickets for youths to attend the Fola Homecoming Concert in Ibadan.
The groups, led by the APM State Youth Leader, Hon. Lekan Bello, said the gesture would enable more young people and music lovers to attend the highly anticipated concert.
According to the groups, the 200 tickets purchased by Fakorede complement the 500 tickets earlier purchased by the APM Oyo South Senatorial Candidate, Rt. Hon. Adedeji Olajide-Odidiomo, describing the combined gesture as an opportunity for more youths to participate in the entertainment event.
Several youth and support-group leaders who attended the concert also commended Fakorede for what they described as an indication of his commitment to youth engagement.


Hon. Kunle Akindele, who led members of Friends of Odidiomo and the Bodija Youth Forum to the event; Mrs. Olufunmi Olajumoke Olatunde, popularly known as MamaTee, who led women under the Women in Power & Politics; Mr. Abiodun Olaoye, popularly known as Ajasco, who led the Apete Youth Forum and Dugbe-Queen Cinema Youth; Mr. Kunle Johnson, known as Shisha, who led the Joyce B Youth Forum; and Mr. Jare, popularly known as Jarule, who led Ibarapa Youth for Odidiomo, all expressed appreciation for Fakorede’s gesture.
Other groups that joined in the appreciation included the BlackNile Team, the Bolu Olaleye (Maracana) group, Agbowo Youth Forum led by Mr. Zico, and the group led by Mr. Akindele of Acer Engineering, among others.
The groups said the gesture demonstrated what they described as a youth-oriented approach to political mobilisation and community engagement.
Fola Homecoming Concert Attracts Thousands
The Fola Homecoming Concert attracted thousands of music fans to Agodi Gardens, Ibadan, where Afrobeats artiste Folarin Odunlami, popularly known as FOLA, performed alongside other artistes, including Bella Shmurda, TML Vibes, Magix, Ayo Maff, Gbohunmi, Danielino, Temkeyz, Itsenj, Boi Eazi and Nati.
The performers entertained the audience with a selection of their popular songs, creating an energetic atmosphere as fans gathered to celebrate FOLA’s homecoming.
The event was described by attendees as a celebration of music, entertainment and hometown pride, with youths and music lovers turning out in large numbers.
Speaking on behalf of the groups, the APM youths and support organisations pledged to continue their mobilisation activities across their various communities.
They also expressed their commitment to mobilising support for the Odidiomo senatorial campaign and the APM at the grassroots, including at their respective polling units.
