A new political chapter has opened in Ward 6, Ibadan North Local Government Area of Oyo State, following the defection of Dr. Idris Sani, a member of the All Progressives Congress (APC), to the Allied Peoples Movement (APM) alongside his team.
Dr. Sani, while announcing his decision to join the APM, declared his commitment to working with and supporting all APM candidates across Oyo State, signalling a fresh direction in his political journey.
His defection also comes with his alignment with the distinguished G5 Leaders, comprising Hon. Hadebu, Hon. Yasir Ibrahim Babangoyo, Hon. Nafiu Umar, and Hon. Sodiq Alabi Anjorin.
The development marks a significant political realignment in Ward 6, as Dr. Sani and his team formally join the APM family, expressing their readiness to collaborate with other party members and contribute to the party’s activities and political aspirations across the state.
By aligning with the G5 Leaders, Dr. Sani and his team have reaffirmed their commitment to unity, cooperation, and collective participation in advancing the APM’s objectives in Oyo State.
Their entry into the party is expected to strengthen political engagement in Ward 6, while further consolidating the relationship between the G5 Leaders and other APM stakeholders in Ibadan North Local Government.
