*Afonja extends educational support to students in Ogbomoso, pays 20 LAUTECH students tuition fees, supports 50 WAEC and NECO candidates*
The Former Oyo State Commissioner for Works and Transport, Prof. AbdulRahman Afonja, has stepped forward to pay the tuition fees of 20 students at Ladoke Akintola University of Technology, Ogbomoso (LAUTECH).
Additionally, he has generously supported 50 students who are preparing to write the West African Examinations Council (WAEC) and National Examinations Council (NECO) examinations.
This significant educational intervention was made known to MOUTHPIECE NGR on Wednesday, reiterating his dedication to fostering academic excellence and empowering the youth in Ogbomoso.
“I am pleased to announce that I have paid the tuition fees for 20 LAUTECH students, ensuring that they can continue their education without financial constraints. Additionally, I have provided support to 50 students who are preparing for their WAEC and NECO examinations,” Prof Afonja stated, highlighting the importance of investing in the education and future prospects of young individuals.
Some of the beneficiaries of this educational support who confirmed the development expressed their profound gratitude to Prof. Afonja whilst acknowledging the immense impact of his intervention on their academic journey and aspirations for a brighter future.
One of the LAUTECH students shared her excitement and relief, stating, “I am incredibly grateful to Prof Afonja for alleviating the burden of tuition fees. His generosity has enabled me to focus on my studies without worrying about financial constraints.”
Similarly, the WAEC and NECO candidates who received support from Prof Afonja however expressed their appreciation for the opportunity to pursue their educational goals with renewed confidence and determination.
