Ahead of the 2027 general elections, the House of Representatives candidate for Akinyele/Lagelu Federal Constituency under the Allied People’s Movement (APM), Engr. Toheeb Adegoke ADLAT, alongside the Oyo State House of Assembly candidate for Akinyele Constituency II, Hon. Olalere Solomon ERE, on Tuesday met with members of the Arewa community in Akinyele Local Government, where they also distributed Ileya packages to support Muslim faithful during the festive period.

 

The meeting, which attracted leaders and members of the Arewa community across the local government, focused on unity, peaceful coexistence, and the need for inclusive participation in the political process ahead of the next general elections.

 

Speaking during the engagement, Engr. Toheeb Adegoke ADLAT appreciated the Arewa community for their continued contributions to the growth and peaceful atmosphere within Akinyele Local Government, stressing that every ethnic group remains an important part of the constituency.

 

He noted that the Ileya support packages were distributed as a show of love and solidarity with Muslim faithful observing the festive period, while also praying for peace, progress, and stability across the constituency and the country at large.

Hon. Olalere Solomon ERE also commended the community for their hospitality and support, reiterating the need for stronger unity and collaboration among residents of the local government irrespective of ethnic or religious differences.

 

Some leaders of the Arewa community who spoke during the meeting expressed appreciation for the visit and the support extended to them during the season.
