The 2027 consensus gubernatorial candidate of Governor Seyi Makinde’s ruling party in Oyo State, Abimbola Adekanmbi, has pledged to sustain and expand the achievements of the present administration if elected as governor in 2027.
Adekanmbi, a former Commissioner for Finance in Oyo State, made this known during a strategic consultation visit to Fresh FM headquarters, Music House, in Ibadan, where he met with the Chairman, Yinka Ayefele, as part of his ongoing political engagements ahead of the 2027 governorship election.
Speaking during the visit, Adekanmbi commended Governor Makinde for laying a solid foundation for infrastructural growth, economic reforms, educational advancement, and improved governance across Oyo State.
He assured residents that his administration would not only consolidate the gains of the current government but also expand development initiatives across critical sectors of the state economy.
According to him, continuity of purposeful leadership remains essential for sustaining the pace of development already being experienced in Oyo State.
“We must build on the strong foundation already established. Our focus will be to sustain the reforms, improve service delivery, empower the people economically, and ensure that development gets to every part of Oyo State,” he stated.
Adekanmbi further emphasized the importance of collaboration with stakeholders, media organizations, community leaders, and the private sector in achieving inclusive governance and sustainable development.
The visit to Music House is believed to be part of wider consultations and grassroots engagements being undertaken by the gubernatorial hopeful as political activities ahead of the 2027 elections gradually gather momentum in Oyo State.
