Adedeji Expresses Gratitude to Makinde, Party Leaders, Urges Unity After Emergence as PDP Consensus Candidate

The newly confirmed consensus candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for the Ido/Ibarapa East Federal Constituency, Engr. Kolawole Sheu Adedeji, has expressed deep appreciation to Governor Seyi Makinde, party leaders, and stakeholders for the confidence reposed in him.

In a statement following his emergence at the ongoing stakeholders’ meeting, Adedeji described the decision as a humbling call to serve, noting that it reflects the collective will and unity of the party across the constituency.

“I am sincerely grateful to His Excellency, Governor Seyi Makinde, our respected leaders, elders, and all stakeholders who found me worthy of this responsibility. This is not just a personal victory, but a shared commitment to the growth and development of Ido/Ibarapa East,” he said.

The engineer-turned-politician acknowledged the consultations and sacrifices that led to the consensus arrangement, emphasizing that such unity is crucial for the party’s success in future elections.

Adedeji also extended a hand of fellowship to his close challenger and other aspirants, calling for unity, reconciliation, and collective effort moving forward.

“I hold my brother and worthy contender in high esteem. I urge him and all our supporters to join hands with me as we build a stronger, more united front. Together, we can achieve more for our people and deliver the true dividends of democracy,” he added.

He further assured party members and constituents of his commitment to inclusive representation, people-oriented policies, and sustained engagement with the grassroots.
