The Governorship Candidate of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) in Oyo State for the 2027 general election, Oloye Adegboyega Taofeek Adegoke, Aare Egbe Omo Balogun of Ibadanland on Monday has reaffirmed his sincere appreciations to party leaders and members for their support during the recently concluded gubernatorial primary election.

Adegoke, while addressing party executives, local government chairmen and loyalists at the ADC State Office, expressed gratitude to the leadership of the party for ensuring a transparent and peaceful primary process that led to his emergence as the party’s flag bearer in Oyo State.
The gubernatorial candidate commended members across the 33 local government areas for their commitment, loyalty and dedication to the growth of the party, noting that the victory recorded at the primary election belonged to all members of the ADC family in the state.

Adegoke emphasized the need for unity and reconciliation among party stakeholders ahead of the 2027 governorship election, stressing that collective effort would be needed to build a stronger and more formidable opposition in Oyo State.


“I am ready to work with everyone; we shall have true reconciliation in Oyo ADC,” he declared.


He further assured party members that his emergence would usher in a new era of inclusiveness, consultation and grassroots-driven politics within the ADC in Oyo State.

Adegoke also used the opportunity to call on aggrieved members to put the primary process behind them and work together in the overall interest of the party and the people of Oyo State.

Party leaders present at the meeting congratulated the governorship candidate on his victory and pledged their continued support toward ensuring the success of the ADC in the 2027 governorship election.
