The member representing Ibarapa Central and Ibarapa North Federal Constituency, Hon. Dr. Anthony Adebayo Adepoju, has facilitated the provision of four additional transformers as part of ongoing efforts to restore electricity supply across the constituency.
Recall that earlier this year, the federal lawmaker facilitated and installed two transformers at Pako and Onilado areas of Igboora, bringing relief to residents of the affected communities.
Presenting the four additional transformers on Thursday, November 5, 2026, Adepoju disclosed that they would be installed in Idere, Ayete, Tapa and Igangan to address persistent electricity challenges caused by faulty electrical infrastructure.
He further revealed that another six transformers and 300 electricity poles were expected to arrive soon to support the ongoing re-electrification exercise. According to him, the additional facilities would help replace faulty electricity poles along the Igangan–Eruwa axis.

The lawmaker expressed optimism that electricity would be restored across the five communities before the end of November 2026.
Adepoju also commended the Governor of Oyo State, Engr. Seyi Makinde, for his intervention in addressing the prolonged power outage affecting Ibarapa Central and Ibarapa North.
He equally appreciated the Executive Chairmen of Ibarapa Central and Ibarapa North Local Government Areas, Hon. Olusola Adeleke and Hon. Lateef Adebare Akorede, respectively, for their contributions to the exercise.
The Deputy Chairman of the House Committee on Federal Character noted that the collaboration between the state and local governments had contributed significantly to the progress recorded in the ongoing re-electrification project.
He also appreciated residents of Igboora, Idere, Ayete, Tapa and Igangan for their patience and resilience despite enduring prolonged electricity outages that have left several communities in the constituency without regular power supply for between 10 and 15 years.
The ongoing intervention is expected to improve electricity infrastructure and support economic and social activities across the affected communities.
