Hon. Akeem Ige, Family Mark One-Year Remembrance of Late Sister, Abiola Abe

One year after her passing, the Chairman of the Local Government Staff Pension Board (LGSPB), Hon. Akeem Ademola Ige, joined family members to honour the memory of his late younger sister, Mrs. Abiola Sekinat Abe (nee Ige), fondly known as “B. One.”

Mrs. Abe passed away on November 2, 2025, following a brief illness. To mark the first anniversary of her death, Hon. Ige, accompanied by his wife, Alhaja Monsurat Ige, and the two children left behind by the deceased, visited her graveside to offer prayers for the continued repose of her soul and lay a bouquet of flowers in her honour.

Reflecting on the painful loss, Hon. Ige shared a heartfelt tribute:

“It’s exactly one year today that the cold hands of death snatched my beloved sister, Abiola Sekinat Abe (nee Ige), after a protracted illness.

Though she is gone, her warmth, love, and sweet memories remain evergreen in our hearts.

She left behind a devoted husband, two lovely children, and our aged parents, who miss her dearly each day. Continue to rest in peace, dear sister, until we meet to part no more.”
