*Wale Canada Backs Bimbo Adekanbi, Advocates Continuity and Further Development in Oyo*

Hon. Saminu Riliwan Gbadamosi, popularly known as Wale Canada, has expressed support for the candidacy of Hon. Bimbo Adekanbi ahead of the 2027 Oyo State governorship election, describing continuity, consolidation and further development as important considerations for the state’s next administration.

Gbadamosi, who represents the Saki-East/Atisbo State Constituency in the Oyo State House of Assembly, said the political conversation ahead of 2027 should focus on how to sustain ongoing development efforts while identifying areas requiring improvement and fresh policy interventions.

According to him, Oyo State has made progress in several areas under the current administration of Governor Seyi Makinde, and the transition in 2027 provides an opportunity to consolidate existing programmes while introducing additional initiatives that respond to emerging needs.

He said Adekanbi’s candidacy provides an opportunity for voters and stakeholders to consider a combination of continuity and new ideas in determining the direction of the state after the current administration.

Adekanbi, the Allied Peoples Movement (APM) governorship candidate for 2027, has previously said that, if elected, his administration would consolidate on the achievements of the Makinde administration, particularly in areas including healthcare, agriculture, infrastructure, security and workers’ welfare.

Gbadamosi stressed that the interests of residents should remain central to the political transition, noting that development should be measured by its effect on communities, livelihoods and access to public services.

He added that the 2027 election would provide Oyo residents with an opportunity to assess the various candidates, their programmes and their records before making their choice.

For Wale Canada, the debate over the state’s future should therefore centre on governance, representation, continuity and the capacity to respond to the changing needs of the people of Oyo State.
