SDP chieftain and grassroots politician, Adigun Omoleader Afeez Tijani, has emerged as the Allied Peoples’ Movement (APM) chairmanship candidate for Oriire Local Government, following the approval of his nomination by Governor Seyi Makinde and Otunba Seye Famojuro.
Recall that Omo Leader, as he is fondly called, alongside Alhaja Mulikat Adeola, worked tirelessly for the emergence of Engr. Seyi Makinde in the 2019 gubernatorial election. However, they were later sidelined from the system.
Today, that dedication and loyalty appear to have received due recognition, as Omo Leader has been compensated with the opportunity to lead the APM’s campaign in Oriire Local Government.
His emergence is being seen as a significant political development and a testament to the importance of grassroots mobilisation, loyalty and steadfastness in politics.
