DR. KAZEEM BABATUNDE AKANDE, mni, CONGRATULATES MR. OLANREWAJU ISKEEL SAKA, mni, ON APPOINTMENT AS OGUN STATE HEAD OF SERVICE

The Chairman, Governing Council of the African Institute for Justices of the Peace, Dr. Kazeem Babatunde Akande, mni, has congratulated the newly appointed Head of the Public Service of Ogun State, Mr. Olanrewaju Iskeel Saka, mni, describing his appointment as a well-deserved recognition of competence, experience, professionalism and dedicated service to the state.

Mr. Saka was appointed by the Executive Governor of Ogun State, Prince Dapo Abiodun, CON, following the statutory retirement of the immediate past Head of Service, Mr. Kehinde Olufemi Onasanya.

In a congratulatory message, Dr. Akande noted that Mr. Saka’s wealth of administrative experience, professionalism, integrity, diligence and commitment to excellence have distinguished him throughout his career in the Ogun State Public Service, making him eminently qualified for the prestigious position.

According to him, the appointment is a testament to Mr. Saka’s outstanding record of service, exemplary leadership qualities and unwavering dedication to the growth and transformation of the Ogun State Public Service.

Dr. Akande expressed confidence that the new Head of Service would bring his wealth of experience, sound judgement and administrative expertise to bear in strengthening institutional effectiveness, promoting professionalism and enhancing service delivery across the state.

He further described the appointment as a source of pride to Mr. Saka’s family, professional colleagues and the wider community of public sector leaders committed to national development, institutional excellence and effective governance.

“As a distinguished member of the National Institute (mni), his elevation brings pride not only to his family and professional colleagues but also to the larger community of public sector leaders and development-oriented professionals committed to national progress and institutional excellence,” Dr. Akande stated.

The Chairman also commended the Executive Governor of Ogun State, Prince Dapo Abiodun, CON, for finding Mr. Saka worthy of the highly respected office. He noted that the appointment demonstrates confidence in competence, experience, professionalism and continuity in the administration of the state’s public service.

Dr. Akande observed that the office of the Head of Service occupies a strategic position in governance and public administration, particularly in ensuring effective policy implementation, institutional coordination, workforce development, discipline and efficient service delivery.
He expressed optimism that the Ogun State Public Service would benefit from Mr. Saka’s leadership through greater efficiency, innovation, professionalism, discipline and productivity, particularly at a time when visionary, transformational and result-oriented leadership is required to advance the developmental aspirations of the state.
He also encouraged the entire workforce of the Ogun State Public Service to give the new Head of Service the necessary cooperation and support required to succeed in his new assignment.

Dr. Akande, while wishing Mr. Saka a successful and impactful tenure, prayed for God’s guidance, wisdom, sound health, strength and outstanding accomplishments as he assumes the responsibility of leading the Ogun State Public Service.
He expressed confidence that Mr. Saka would justify the confidence reposed in him and contribute significantly to the continued development and transformation of Ogun State.
