The free eye screening and medical outreach initiative facilitated by Hon. Saminu Riliwan Gbadamosi JP, popularly known as Wale Canada, has commenced at Community High School, Idi-Emi, Sepeteri, attracting a significant turnout of residents and community members.

The outreach provides residents with access to free eye examinations and basic medical services, as part of efforts to promote preventive healthcare, encourage early detection of health conditions and improve access to essential medical services within the community.

Residents from different age groups, including young people, adults and elderly members of the community, have continued to turn out in large numbers to benefit from the programme. The initiative is designed to bring essential healthcare services closer to the people, particularly those who may face challenges accessing routine medical and eye care.

The outreach also seeks to deepen public awareness about the importance of regular health checks and encourage individuals to seek timely medical attention whenever necessary. Through the provision of free screenings and basic medical services, residents are given an opportunity to assess their health and receive professional guidance on appropriate follow-up care where necessary.

The large turnout at the venue underscores the importance of community-based healthcare initiatives, especially programmes that provide residents with opportunities to access medical services without the burden of cost.

Organisers expressed appreciation to community leaders, healthcare professionals, volunteers and residents for their cooperation and active participation, which have contributed significantly to the successful commencement of the programme.

The initiative further underscores Wale Canada’s commitment to supporting community wellbeing and promoting improved access to healthcare services across his constituency.

Hon. Saminu Riliwan Gbadamosi JP, popularly known as Wale Canada, is the Chairman of the House Committee on Health at the Oyo State House of Assembly and the member representing Atisbo/Saki-East State Constituency.

The ongoing free eye test and medical outreach is another demonstration of his efforts to support the health and wellbeing of constituents by bringing essential healthcare services closer to the people. By facilitating access to eye screening and basic medical services, the programme is helping to promote preventive healthcare and encourage residents to take their health more seriously.

The outreach also highlights the importance of early detection, as regular health checks can help individuals identify potential health concerns and seek appropriate professional attention before such conditions become more serious.

As the programme continues, residents are encouraged to take advantage of the opportunity to undergo regular health checks, pay attention to their eye health and seek professional medical advice whenever necessary.

The successful commencement of the outreach at Community High School, Idi-Emi, Sepeteri, reflects the strong interest of residents in accessible healthcare services and reinforces the importance of initiatives aimed at improving the health and wellbeing of communities across the constituency.
