The councillorship candidates of the Allied Peoples Movement (APM) in Ibarapa East Local Government have pledged their support and commitment to the party ahead of the forthcoming Local Government elections and the 2027 general elections.

The candidates made the commitment on Tuesday at the Nigeria Union of Local Government Employees (NULGE) Hall in Eruwa, shortly after they were officially unveiled by the leadership of the party in the local government.

Speaking on behalf of the candidates, Hon. Olasunkanmi Akintola, the current Deputy Leader of the House and councillorship candidate for Ward 5, said the unity and shared commitment among the candidates demonstrated the readiness of the APM to secure victory across the local government.

Akintola expressed confidence in the party’s grassroots strength, noting that the administration’s performance had provided the candidates with the necessary confidence to embark on vigorous mobilisation and grassroots engagement ahead of the election.

The candidates also expressed strong confidence in the APM Chairmanship candidate, Hon. Kazeem Owolabi Arogundade, describing him as a tested, trusted and people-oriented leader whose programmes and initiatives had positively impacted residents across the 10 wards of the local government.
