The Legislative Arm of Ido Local Government has announced a leadership reshuffle following the suspension of three principal officers of the council.
The suspended officers are:
– Hon. Oyepeju Kareem – Deputy Leader
– Hon. Jamiu Olaide – Majority Leader
– Hon. Abdullahi Kehinde – Chief Whip
Following the development, members of the Legislative Council elected new principal officers to ensure the smooth and effective administration of the legislative arm.
The newly elected principal officers are:
– Deputy Leader: Hon. Olawale Oluwagbemiga Kolawole
– Majority Leader: Hon. Oyewumi Kabir Akintayo
– Chief Whip: Hon. Lukman Olabamiji
The newly elected leaders are expected to provide effective leadership, foster unity among council members, and work collaboratively to promote good governance and facilitate the continued development of Ido Local Government.
