Egbeda LG Hon Sanda Hails Gov. Makinde’s Acquisition of Surveillance Aircraft, Describes Move as Major Boost to Oyo Security

The Executive Chairman of Egbeda Local Government, Hon. Sanda Sikiru Oyedele, has lauded the Executive Governor of Oyo State, Engr. Seyi Makinde FNSE, for the strategic purchase and delivery of aircraft to enhance the security architecture of the state.

Hon. Oyedele described the acquisition as a bold, visionary and timely intervention that demonstrates Governor Makinde’s unwavering commitment to the protection of lives and property across Oyo State. According to him, the deployment of aerial security assets will significantly improve surveillance, intelligence gathering, rapid response to security threats, and support the operations of security agencies throughout the state.

The Chairman noted that the initiative reflects the Governor’s proactive leadership and determination to ensure that Oyo State remains one of the safest and most peaceful states in Nigeria for residents, investors and visitors alike.

He further stated that strengthening the state’s security infrastructure is fundamental to sustainable economic growth, agricultural development and infrastructural expansion, adding that the acquisition of the aircraft is a major milestone in achieving these objectives.

Hon. Oyedele urged residents of Egbeda Local Government and Oyo State at large to continue supporting the Governor’s administration and to cooperate with security agencies by providing timely and credible information that will help combat crime and maintain peace.

He reaffirmed the commitment of the Egbeda Local Government Administration to complement the state’s security efforts through grassroots engagement, community policing initiatives and sustained collaboration with relevant security agencies.
