The residents of Wire and Cable, Opoopin, Ajoke, Alada, Oganla, Agbofieti and adjoining communities have expressed confidence that the Oyo State Governor, Engr. Seyi Makinde, will fulfill his promise to construct the Elebu Road.
According to the communities, both the Wire and Cable Road and the Elebu Road were specifically mentioned by the Governor during the Thanksgiving Service held on January 7 at Rehoboth Cathedral, Oluyole, where he assured residents that the projects would be executed.
The communities stated that Governor Makinde has built a reputation for keeping his promises, noting that the ongoing construction of the Wire and Cable Road is clear evidence that his words are backed by action.
They emphasized that the Wire and Cable and Elebu communities belong to the same community association under Ido Local Government and share similar challenges and aspirations. They therefore appealed to the Governor to extend the ongoing road intervention to Elebu, expressing optimism that work on the Elebu Road will commence soon.

“We are using this medium to respectfully remind His Excellency that the construction of Elebu Road should commence just as we are witnessing steady progress on the Wire and Cable Road. We say this with full confidence that the contractor will move to the site soon. E jẹ́ ká fi ọkàn balẹ̀.”
The communities also expressed their appreciation to Governor Makinde for his commitment to infrastructure development, thanking him on behalf of both the Wire and Cable and Elebu communities.
