Comrade Ojo Olubunmi Oladele, popularly known as “Senator,” has declared his intention to run for chairman of Ogbomoso North Local Government Area on the platform of the Allied Peoples Movement, APM.
In a statement to Mouthpiece NGR on Monday, Oladele said he is seeking the seat to improve the welfare of residents.
According to him, his experience in politics and public service would bring “remarkable transformation” to the council.
Oladele, from Aaje/Ogungbado Ward, however cited past roles including Accord chairman in Ogbomoso North, PDP local government auditor for eight years, and supervisory councilor for 30 months.

The aspirant, who also disclosed that he had served as an establishment officer with the Oyo State Local Government Service Commission, stressed that when duty calls, experience counts.
He added that his record includes providing 2024 UTME forms for students as a supervisor, cash support for the elderly in Aaje/Ogungbado Ward, youth empowerment and palliatives for the aged and less-privileged.
If elected, Oladele said his priorities would include education support, poverty alleviation, youth empowerment, care for the elderly and less-privileged, provision of social amenities, and strengthening APM at the grassroots.
He, however, urged party stakeholders and members to support his endorsement as the APM chairmanship candidate ahead of the 2026 Oyo State local government election.
