Hon. Alimi Raifu Alawaye, the Assistant Secretary of Oriire South Local Council Development Area (LCDA), Ahoro-Dada, has officially declared his intention to contest for the office of Chairman of Oriire Local Government, Ikoyi-Ile, under the platform of the Allied People’s Movement (APM) ahead of the 2026 local government elections.
In his declaration, Hon. Alimi unveiled his vision for a more progressive and inclusive Oriire Local Government, emphasizing the need for purposeful leadership founded on integrity, accountability, transparency, and service to the people. He assured residents that, if elected, his administration would prioritize grassroots development while ensuring that every voice is heard and respected.
According to the chairmanship aspirant, his administration will be guided by the following core principles:
– Visionary Leadership: Providing a clear and strategic direction for the sustainable growth and development of Oriire Local Government.
– Integrity: Upholding honesty, transparency, and public trust in governance.
– Equality and Inclusiveness: Promoting fairness, non-discrimination, and respect for the opinions of all residents.

Speaking on his campaign slogan, “Itesiwaju Oriire 2026,” Hon. Alimi called on residents, party faithful, and supporters to unite behind his aspiration in order to build a more prosperous, peaceful, and united Oriire Local Government.
