A chieftain of the Allied Peoples Movement, APM, in Oyo State and respected community leader, Honourable Abiodun Adekunle Isola Baruwa, has extended warm congratulations to Governor Seyi Makinde on the seventh anniversary of his administration, describing the past seven years as a period of steady progress and visible transformation across the state.

In a statement released to journalists in Ibadan on Friday , Baruwa said Makinde’s tenure since May 29, 2019 has been defined by purposeful leadership, data-driven policies and governance that prioritizes the welfare of citizens. He noted that the administration’s focus has repositioned Oyo State and restored public confidence in government at all levels.
“Seven Years of Progress,” Baruwa remarked. “On behalf of my family and political associates, I congratulate His Excellency, Governor Seyi Makinde, on this remarkable milestone. The evidence of transformation is clear for all to see. Our roads are safer and more accessible, our healthcare facilities are better equipped, our schools are being upgraded, and our communities enjoy greater peace. This is governance with purpose.”

The APM chieftain lauded the administration’s massive investment in infrastructure, particularly the reconstruction and dualisation of major roads within Ibadan and across the state’s senatorial districts. He observed that the improved road network has eased movement, reduced the cost of transportation and stimulated commercial activity for traders, artisans and farmers. He also pointed to the ongoing Ibadan Circular Road and the rehabilitation of inner-city routes as proof of a long-term vision for a modern and connected Oyo.

He concluded with prayers for the governor’s continued wisdom, good health and strength to finish well. “May Almighty Allah grant you more grace and vision to complete the good work you have started. Oyo State is undoubtedly better today because of your leadership,” Baruwa prayed.
