PHOTOS: Ibarapa North Council Chairman, Akorede Hosts Former LG Chairmen and Chairpersons of Ibarapa North, Party Leaders, and Dignitaries for the 5th Ramadan Lecture and Iftar

The Executive Chairman of Ibarapa North Local Government, Hon. Lawal Lateef Adebare, hosted former Local Government chairmen and chairpersons of Ibarapa North, party leaders, and dignitaries at the 5th Akorede/Omititun Annual Ramadan Lecture and Iftar on Thursday, 5th March 2026.

The spiritually uplifting event, held at the Ayete New Town Hall, attracted former Ibarapa North Local Government chairmen and chairpersons, traditional rulers, religious leaders, political stakeholders, management and staff of the Council, as well as residents of Ibarapa North for a day of reflection and recognition.

The keynote lecture was delivered by Sheikh Galib Bello, who spoke on the theme: “Loving Ourselves in Ramadan and Proven it after Ramadan.

” In his address, he emphasized that true love is very important in this period of Ramadan and we must continue showing that love after Ramadan.

During the course of the event, Hon. Salau Tajudeen Amoo, who spoke on behalf of other former local government chairmen, applauded Hon. Lateef for his good work for the people of Ibarapa North. He also said Hon. Lateef is eating the fruit of what his father has done and appreciated the chairman for his consistent support for religious activities and staff welfare. 

The programme commenced with a Qur’anic recitation and concluded with prayers offered by Chief Imam of Igangan, seeking continued peace, unity, and progress for Ibarapa North.
