Asiwaju Oladimeji Olatilewa Ayinla has strongly condemned the recent violent attack in Oriire Local Government Area of Oyo State, describing the incident as barbaric, senseless, and a painful reminder of the growing security challenges confronting communities across the state.

In a statement released on Saturday, Asiwaju Ayinla expressed deep sorrow over the loss of lives and destruction of property caused by the attack. He extended his heartfelt condolences to the families of the victims, the people of Oriire, and all those affected by the unfortunate incident.

“My heart goes out to the grieving families and the entire Oriire community at this very difficult time. No society should be subjected to such terror and bloodshed.

These repeated attacks are unacceptable and must be confronted decisively,” he said.

Asiwaju Ayinla called on security agencies to intensify efforts to apprehend the perpetrators and ensure they are brought to justice without delay.

He emphasized the need for proactive intelligence gathering, community-based security collaboration, and improved response mechanisms to prevent future occurrences.

Furthermore, Asiwaju Ayinla renewed his call for urgent legislative and executive action on the establishment of State Police, noting that localized security architecture remains critical to effectively tackling insecurity.

“The time has come to move beyond rhetoric. I strongly urge the relevant authorities to swiftly pass and implement the State Police law. Communities understand their terrain better, and empowering states with policing authority will enhance rapid response, accountability, and safety of lives and property,” he stated.

He reaffirmed his commitment to advocating policies and initiatives that prioritize the security and welfare of the people, stressing that peace and safety are fundamental to development and social stability.

Asiwaju Ayinla prayed for the repose of the souls of the departed and wished the injured a speedy recovery, while assuring the people of Oriire and Oyo State at large of his continued support in the collective quest for lasting peace and security.
