The Executive Chairman of Ibarapa Central Local Government, Hon. Olusola Adeleke Ayodele has donated two motorcycles to security personnel to strengthen surveillance and protect electricity infrastructure currently undergoing rehabilitation across the Local Government.
The initiative is designed to prevent the vandalism of electric poles, cables and other vital components, while ensuring that the ongoing restoration work progresses smoothly and safely.
According to the Chairman, securing the infrastructure is crucial to the success of the rehabilitation programme, particularly after several years of darkness in affected communities.
He stressed that the return of electricity would provide significant relief to residents and create better conditions for traders, artisans, business owners, students and other members of the community whose activities have been affected by the prolonged power outage.

Hon. Adeleke reaffirmed his administration’s determination to address longstanding infrastructure challenges and ensure that the electricity restoration project delivers the intended benefits to the people of Ibarapa Central.
He also urged residents to take ownership of the project by protecting the facilities and promptly alerting the appropriate authorities to any suspicious activity around the electricity infrastructure.
The Chairman expressed optimism that the combined efforts of the Local Government, security personnel, residents and other relevant stakeholders would help safeguard the rehabilitation work and facilitate the sustainable return of electricity to communities that have endured years of blackout.
