Oyo Lawmaker, Hon. Razaq Mabaje Condemns Oriire Bandit Attack, Commiserates with Victims

A member of the Oyo State House of Assembly representing Ido Constituency, Hon. Razaq Mabaje, has strongly condemned the recent bandit attack in Oriire Local Government Area of the state, describing the incident as disturbing and unacceptable.

Hon. Mabaje, who also serves as the Chairman, House Committee on security and strategy oyo state house of assembly, expressed deep concern over the rising cases of insecurity across parts of the state, stressing that the safety of lives and property must remain a top priority for government at all levels.

In a statement released on Monday, the lawmaker sympathized with families of victims affected by the attack, praying for the quick recovery of those injured and divine comfort for those who suffered losses.

He assured residents of Oriire and neighbouring communities that the Oyo State House of Assembly, in collaboration with relevant security agencies, is taking decisive steps to strengthen security architecture and ensure that perpetrators of the attack are brought to justice.

Hon. Mabaje further commended Governor Seyi Makinde-led administration for its continuous investment in security, while urging security agencies to intensify patrols, intelligence gathering, and swift response across vulnerable communities.

He called on residents to remain calm, vigilant, and cooperate with security agencies by providing useful information that can help prevent future attacks.

“Security is a collective responsibility. Together, we will ensure that peace and stability return to every part of Oyo State,” he said.
