Lagelu Chairman Lauds Successful PDP Ward Congresses, Praises Gov. Makinde and PDP Members for Party Cohesion

Hon. Mudashiru Kamorudeen, Chairman of Lagelu Local Government, has hailed the recently concluded ward congresses of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in Lagelu and the rest of 33 local government areas, as a remarkable success, attributing the achievement to the party’s unity and the exemplary leadership of Governor Seyi Makinde.

In a new release by his office on Saturday, Hon. Kamorudeen expressed delight at the smooth conduct of the congresses across Lagelu and other local government areas. “The ward congresses were a clear demonstration of the PDP’s strength and unity in Oyo State. Our members turned out in large numbers, and the process was peaceful and well-organized,” he said. “This success reflects the cohesive spirit within our party and the trust we have in Governor Makinde’s leadership.”

The congresses, held to elect wards executives and delegates for upcoming party primaries and conventions, saw significant participation across Oyo State’s 33 local government areas, with Lagelu LGA standing out for its exemplary organization. Hon. Kamorudeen credited the governor’s commitment to grassroots development and party harmony for setting the tone for the seamless exercise. “Governor Makinde has shown us what true leadership looks like. His focus on unity and progress has strengthened the PDP, making it a formidable force,” he noted.

The Lagelu chairman also commended party members and the critical stakeholders for their dedication, urging them to maintain the momentum ahead of future elections. “Our unity is our greatest asset. Let’s continue to support Governor Makinde and work together to sustain the PDP’s legacy of good governance beyond 2027,” he said.
