The Federal College of Agriculture, Moor Plantation, Ibadan (FCAIB), proudly hosted Dr. Akande Kazeem Babatunde, a distinguished participant at the National Institute for Policy and Strategic Studies (NIPSS), Kuru, Plateau State, on August 28, 2025.

This strategic visit underscores FCAIB’s commitment to innovation and community development, during his visit, Dr. Akande discussed his groundbreaking research project focused on utilizing home-grown foods to feed pupils and encourage out-of-school children to return to the classroom.

Delving deeper into the project, Dr. Akande explained his research aims to ensure every pupil has access to at least one nutritious meal daily, with a particular emphasis on protein-rich foods.

Dr. Akande proposes using plant-based protein sources like soybeans and protein/vitamin-enriched maize to achieve this goal. He expressed interest in collaborating with the Federal College of Agriculture, Moor Plantation, Ibadan, to drive his research forward and make a meaningful impact.
