Ido Local Government Council, on Wednesday, convened a peace and security meeting that brought together various security agencies operating in the area.

The meeting is to be held in a bid to further strengthen community safety and enhance collaboration among security stakeholders

The session, held at the council secretariat, provided a platform for frank discussions on emerging security issues and strategies for maintaining peace and stability within the local government.

Speaking at the meeting, the Chairman of Ido Local Government, Hon. Sheriff Aderemi Adeojo, commended the security agencies for their commitment and dedication to safeguarding lives and property in the area.

He urged them to sustain their efforts, stressing the importance of vigilance, intelligence sharing, and cooperation in addressing security challenges.

“The safety and well-being of our people remain a top priority. We appreciate the sacrifices of our security personnel and will continue to support them in ensuring that Ido remains peaceful and secure,” Hon. Adeojo said.

Stakeholders at the meeting reaffirmed their commitment to working together in promoting law and order while pledging to adopt proactive measures to tackle crime and ensure the protection of residents across the local government.
