The Executive Chairman of Ibadan North East Local Government, Hon. Ibrahim Akinsola Akintayo, has been commended by the Director General of Operation Burst, Oyo State, Retired Col. Ajibola Oladipupo, for his initiative in constructing a Headquarters Base for the Joint Security Task Force (Operation Burst) at Goodwill area, Adekile, Orita Aperin.
The facility was commissioned on Thursday, July 17, 2025.
Ret. Col. Oladipupo, in his remark, noted that the project will strengthen security in the community and Oyo State at large.
He assured that Operation Burst would continue to work with stakeholders to ensure adequate security of lives and property in Oyo State.
Dignitaries including Honourable Sola Owolabi of Ibadan North East State Constituency 2, his counterpart from Constituency 1, Honourable Abiodun Babalola, equally lauded Hon. Akintayo’s developmental governance at the grassroots, describing it as the beauty of democracy.
Security experts at the event pledged to continue their diligent service to tame insecurity in Oyo State.
In his address, Hon. Akintayo expressed his commitment to the safety and well-being of citizens, highlighting the significance of the Operation Burst HQ Base in enhancing security operations in the area.
The Council Boss urged the community to support Operation Burst Officers in their efforts to maintain peace and order.
