Hon Sanda joins Oyo State government to Inaugurates State Vigilante Groups Committee

In his determination to fully secure our dear state, the Executive Governor of Oyo State, His Excellency, Engr Seyi Makinde FNSE opted to deepen personnel structure and capacity of the security service by inaugurated state vigilante groups committee with vast knowledge in security operations to ensure adequate safety of our communities in Oyo State.

It was a landmark event as the Executive Chairman of Egbeda local government, Hon Sanda Sikiru Oyedele who double as the Oyo State ALGON chairman joined Oyo State government at the inauguration event held at Agodi secretariat, Ibadan.

The Algon chairman eulogized the initiative of Governor Seyi Makinde on the expansion of the total number of security personnel and operational equipments with logistics for their service, and we believe that the full implementation will strengthen the capacity of vigilante service group to fulfill its mandate.

While admonished the newly inaugurated state vigilante groups, Hon Sanda implored them to intensify in their efforts by work hand-in-hand with the security agents to ensure the safety of people in the state and focus on enhancing security across the state by protecting vulnerable areas in the communities because of their closeness to the grassroots.

The committee was selected from the Ministry of Women Affairs and inclusion, DSS, NSCDC, NPF, Operation Burst, members of Oyo State House of Assembly, and Amotekun.
