The Oyo State Director-General Liaison office for Abuja and Lagos, Hon. Chief (Dr.) Ezekiel Temitope Oladimeji, popularly known as OTOPE, has pledged to distribute 100 pieces of 250 watts solar panels across 10 communities in Egbeda/Ona-Ara Federal Constituency. This initiative aims to provide clean energy, improve livelihoods, and stimulate economic growth in the region.

The announcement was made today, Friday, March 14, 2025, during a meeting with community leaders from Elekunmefa Community, Oyadare Community, Adekola Community, and Olaoluwa Community, held at Egbeda Local Government. Dr. OTOPE emphasized his commitment to rescuing his people from poor representation. “I am committed to providing opportunities for growth and development in our communities,” he said. This initiative is expected to have numerous benefits, such as:

– Clean Energy: Solar panels will provide a reliable source of clean energy, reducing dependence on non-renewable energy sources.
– Improved Livelihoods: Access to clean energy will improve livelihoods, enabling residents to power their homes, businesses, and communities.
– Economic Growth: The initiative is expected to stimulate economic growth, creating opportunities for entrepreneurship and job creation.

The communities in Egbeda/Ona-Ara Federal Constituency have been advocating for access to renewable energy sources from Hon Oladimeji since last year. Today, their persistence pays off as OTOPE promises to donate 100 250-Watt solar panels to 10 communities in the constituency.

Notably, Dr. OTOPE’s commitment to community development has been recognized by the Aare Musulumi of Yorubaland, Edo, and Delta States, Alhaji Dawud Makanjuola Akinola (DE-DEMARK), who recently praised his efforts during Ramadan Lecture which held at Oluyole Local Government.

Dr. OTOPE’s dedication to providing opportunities for growth and development in Egbeda-Ona Ara Federal Constituency is truly inspiring, and his leadership is a beacon of hope for the communities he intended to serve as their federal representative come 2027.
