In light of the recent tragic events at the Ibadan Children’s Funfair, the former Special Adviser to Governor Seyi Makinde on Local Government and Chieftaincy Matters, Hon. Kazim Adeyinka Adeniyi Bibire, has expressed his heartfelt condolences to the families affected by this devastating incident.

Hon. Bibire, in his statement, expressed profound sorrow over the loss of young lives at the Basorun Islamic High School event.

“This is a tragic and deeply painful moment for all of us in Oyo State. My thoughts and prayers are with the families who have lost their precious children, and I extend my deepest sympathies to them,” he said.

He praised the swift response of the Oyo State Government, led by the Commissioner for Health, Dr. Oluwaserimi Ajetunmobi, who promptly mobilized medical and emergency teams to assist the victims.

Hon. Bibire emphasized the importance of proper planning and coordination for events involving children to prevent such tragedies in the future.

Hon. Bibire prayed that Oyo State would never again experience such a painful loss of its young citizens.

He urged the public to stay calm and supportive as the government gathers more information and arranges necessary support for the victims.

“We must come together as a community to ensure that such an incident never happens again.

Our children are our future, and their safety must always be our top priority,” Hon. Bibire stated.

As the state mourns this tragic loss, Hon. Bibire’s message serves as a reminder of the collective responsibility to safeguard the well-being of every child in Oyo State.
