Oyo majority leader appeals to Gov. Makinde over Ogbomoso road, others

Majority leader of Oyo State House of Assembly, Hon. Sanjo Adedoyin has appealed to Governor Seyi Makinde to come to the aid of the people of Ogbomoso and its surrounding local government areas over the deplorable state of roads in Ogbomoso.

He made the appeal on Wednesday during the 2025 Appropriation Bill presentation to the House of Assembly by the Oyo State Governor.

According to Adedoyin, Ogbomoso roads is in complete state of collapse and impassable occasionsioed by the reckless and criminal neglect by federal government to fix the the only major road that link the Southern and Northern parts of the country which led to articulated Vechiles to divert to our inner roads and as result led to there total collapsed.

While appreciating and commending the Governor for the good work done in linking Ogbomoso with Okeogun people through Ogbomoso- Iseyin road, the lawmaker equally appealed to him to provide adequate security to the road because of the increasing number of travelers using the road on daily basis.

In addition, Hon. Adedoyin also brought to the attention of Governor the abandoned street light project from seminary to HighSchool area after the poles and other logistics has been done since past three years.

He called on the Governor to take immediate action against the contactor handling the project and re-award the project to another capable contractor so as to bring to an end untold unnecessary hardship the people of Ogbomoso are suffering as a result of non completion of the project.

Adedoyin equally appealed to the Governor to put measures in place to resuscitate the moribund juice factory in Oko as he promised during his electioneering campaign to stop the waste experiencing by the farmers and to provide employment opportunities for the people.

He insisted that because Ogbomoso has a lot of cashews and is the biggest producer of the fruit in Sub-Saharan Africa, the local government of Oriire must establish a cashew processing industry, as the governor had promised when he visited Oriire during the electioneering campaign.
