Omituntun Benedict Foundation is deeply concerned about the abduction of its Founder, Chief Benedict Akika on Wednesday 4th September 2024 at 9pm.

Agba’Akin Akika was taken away by unknown gunmen at his residence, Idi-Ape Akobo Olorunda-Abaa Ibadan within a group of his followers.

We condemn this act of violence and demand the immediate and unconditional release of our Founder. Chief Benedict Akika is a respected member of the community, dedicated to empowerment and support.

“We are deeply worried about the safety and well-being of our Founder,” said the media advisor of the foundation. “We urge the authorities to put more immediate action to ensure his safe release and bring the perpetrators to justice.”

However, the Organisation wishes to inform the public that no one was feared killed as claimed by earlier unconfirmed reports.

Omituntun Benedict Foundation calls on all relevant authorities, including law enforcement agencies and government officials, to work together to secure the release of our Founder.

We also appeal to the general public to be prayerful and watchful for his safe return.
