2027: Adekanmbi Takes Consultative Engagement to Oorelope, Saki East, Atisbo

The Oyo State governorship candidate of the Allied Peoples Movement (APM), Hon. Bimbo Adekanmbi, has continued his ongoing consultative engagements across the state, taking his outreach to Oorelope, Saki East and Atisbo Local Government Areas.

During the engagements, Adekanmbi met with traditional rulers, religious leaders, traders, artisans, transport workers, civil servants, community leaders, residents and APM stakeholders to listen to their concerns and expectations ahead of the 2027 governorship election.

Adekanmbi explained that the consultations were designed to provide an avenue for residents and community stakeholders to communicate their peculiar needs directly, noting that the feedback would complement the broad development agenda contained in his proposed manifesto.

At the various meetings, stakeholders commended the administration of Governor Seyi Makinde for its interventions in infrastructure and workers’ welfare, while urging Adekanmbi to sustain and build on existing development efforts if elected governor in 2027.

The stakeholders specifically called for the construction and rehabilitation of major and inner-town roads, the establishment of higher institutions to stimulate economic activities and the establishment of a police college in the zone.

They also requested the establishment of a Federal Medical Centre, upgrading of healthcare and maternity facilities, improved security infrastructure, better welfare packages for traditional rulers, as well as enhanced welfare for civil servants and pensioners.

Responding to the concerns raised, Adekanmbi thanked the traditional rulers, religious leaders, community stakeholders and residents for their candid contributions and support.

He said the essence of the consultation was to listen directly to the people and gain a clearer understanding of the peculiar needs of communities across the state.

The APM governorship candidate also met with party leaders and members across the three local government areas, commending them for their commitment and dedication to the party.

He urged the party faithful to remain steadfast and actively participate in the party’s activities, assuring them that an APM administration under his leadership would prioritise good governance and equitable development across Oyo State.

Adekanmbi said the concerns and aspirations expressed by residents across the various zones would be given due consideration as his administration’s development agenda is shaped ahead of 2027.

The latest engagement forms part of Adekanmbi’s wider consultations with communities and stakeholders across Oyo State ahead of the 2027 election. Similar engagements have recently taken place in other parts of the state, including Olorunsogo and Irepo, as the APM candidate continues to gather grassroots feedback.
