The Youth Rebirth Movement on Tuesday held a strategic meeting with the Director General on Youth Mobilization for Bimbo Adekanmbi Governorship and Seyi Makinde for President in Ibadan to deliberate on youth mobilisation, grassroots engagement, and preparations ahead of the forthcoming general elections.
The meeting had in attendance leaders and representatives of the movement from the 33 Local Government Areas of Oyo State.
Speaking at the meeting, one of the leaders of the movement presented the organisation’s vision, mission and areas of focus. He said the Youth Rebirth Movement is committed to good governance, youth participation, empowerment, grassroots engagement and sustainable development.
He explained that the movement is working to mobilise young people across the 33 Local Government Areas of the state and to build a strong and united youth structure capable of making meaningful impact in the political process.

The movement also reaffirmed its alliance with the Allied Peoples Movement, APM, and pledged to work for the party’s success in the forthcoming presidential, governorship and other elections.
In his response, the Director General on Youth expressed appreciation to the leadership and members of the movement for the visit. He encouraged them to remain committed, united and consistent in their mobilisation efforts.
The Director General noted that aligning with the APM was an important step toward contributing to the continuation of developmental progress in the state. He urged the movement to intensify grassroots activities and continue building a strong network of young people across Oyo State.
He announced that the coming week would be observed as “Operation Show Your Capacity,” an exercise designed to provide participating movements the opportunity to demonstrate their strength, organisational capacity and level of grassroots mobilisation.
For the Youth Rebirth Movement, he said, the exercise would be an avenue to show that its youth structure is strong, organised, united and ready for the task ahead. He assured the members that the necessary support and resources required for the successful execution of the assignment would be provided.
The DGl also disclosed that participating movements would embark on a joint tour of the 33 Local Government Areas of Oyo State. He said the tour would focus on youth awareness, engagement and grassroots mobilisation.
The Youth Rebirth Movement described the planned tour as an important opportunity to further strengthen its structures, connect with more young people, and demonstrate its capacity across the state.
The movement reiterated its commitment to building a powerful and organised youth network in Oyo State. It said with its growing grassroots presence and continued engagement, it is determined to play its part in securing victory for its political alliance, the APM, across all electoral categories.
The message from the movement, it stated, remains clear: We are strong. We are united. We are mobilised. And we are ready. One voice. One direction.
