You’re our pride in Oluyole–Olatunji congratulates Dr Adetunji’s installation as Aare Baasegun of Ibadanland

The Executive Chairman of Oluyole Local Government, Asiwaju Akeem Olatunji, has described Otunba Gbola Adetunji, the Chief Medical Director of Odunlakin Medical Group, as a pride of the Council.

Olatunji’s felicitation is coming on the heels of Dr Adetunji’s installation as the Aare Baasegun of Ibadan Land.

The installation ceremony, which took place earlier today, was performed by the Olubadan of Ibadan Land, His Imperial Majesty Oba Owolabi Olakulehin, at the Olubadan Palace.

The event attracted dignitaries, traditional chiefs, family members, and well-wishers from across Oyo State and beyond.

Olatunji, in his congratulatory message, described Otunba Adetunji as a trailblazer in the medical profession whose commitment to community health and humanitarian service has earned him this well-deserved recognition.

“Otunba Gbola Adetunji’s elevation to the prestigious title of Aare Baasegun of Ibadan Land is a testament to his dedication, integrity, and endless contributions to the socio-medical development of our dear city,” the chairman said.

“You are our pride in Oluyole. Your impact is not only felt in the medical field but in your continuous empowerment of the youth and support for local development initiatives.”

“You have distinguished yourself as leader of leaders in Oluyole and your legacy is visible for us all to emulate.

“As a former commissioner who served the state meritoriously in different capacities, you made your mark in the entrenchment of good governance in Oyo state.

“As our father and my leader within the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) family in Oluyole LG, you have not only provided guidance and visionary leadership, you have provided tutelage and mentorship to the younger breed of politicians and we’re grateful to you.

“Your installation by our king is a clear testament to your immeasurable contribution to the service of humanity through your chosen medical expertise and democratic governance,” Olatunji said.

The title Aare Baasegun of Ibadan Land is one of the revered honorary chieftaincy titles in the Ibadan traditional hierarchy, conferred on individuals of notable influence and service to the society.

Olatunji prayed for Otunba Adetunji’s reign to be peaceful, impactful, and filled with more achievements that will bring further pride to Ibadanland and Oluyole LG in particular.

“Congratulations once again, Otunba. May your reign as Aare Baasegun be long, prosperous, and inspiring to generations to come,” the chairman added.
