The award-winning tourist delight, Royal Entertainment Cruise, Eleyele Ibadan, owned by aqua-tourism and entertainment investor, Prince (Dr.) Adesanmi Bamidele, has joined well-wishers across the country to celebrate Oba (Senator) Rashidi Adewolu Ladoja FSNE (Arusa I) on his official coronation as the 44th Olubadan of Ibadanland and his 81st birthday celebration.
The official coronation, according to the Oyo State Government, will be held on Friday, 26th September 2025, a day after the monarch’s 81st birthday on Thursday, 25th September 2025.
In its congratulatory message, the management of Royal Entertainment Cruise described Oba Ladoja’s reign as a “historical cultural reframe”, noting his rare blend of professional, political, and leadership experience.
“Kabiyesi is not just ascending the throne as a traditional ruler, but as a certified engineer, a former senator, a former governor of Oyo State, and a revered elder statesman. His coronation marks a new cultural renaissance for Ibadanland,” the message read.
The cruise company also highlighted the symbolic significance of Oba Ladoja being born in 1944, now becoming the 44th Olubadan, a historical alignment many believe adds deeper meaning to his ascension.
Prince Bamidele further noted that the new monarch’s life and legacy would inspire generations, reinforcing Ibadan’s cultural heritage while attracting both local and international recognition.
