The Chairman of Oyo Local Government Staff Pension Board. Hon. Akeem Ademola Ige has felicitated with the Deputy National Chairman (South) of the People’s Democratic Party, Ambassador Taofeek Arapaja on the occasion of his birthday anniversary today, saying Arapaja has been a shining light to many individuals that have had contact with him.
Hon. Akeem Ige stated this in a birthday congratulatory message he personally issued and made available to journalists in Ibadan, thanking him for his unwavering service to the progress of the party in Nigeria.
He described Arapaja as a visionary leader whose contributions to national development and the political landscape of Oyo State and Nigeria have left an indelible mark.
While reflecting on Arapaja’s role in the PDP, Ige who is the Baameto Aare Ona Kakanfo of Yoruba land further noted that the former Oyo’s Deputy Governor’s significant influence in uniting and strengthening the party in the country cannot be over emphasized.
His words: There is no politician whether dead or alive in the history of Ibadan South East local government that has beat the record of His Excellency, Ambassador Taofeek Arapaja who contested and won the Chairmanship position twice under the zero party and under another political platform.
Not only that, he contested and won election into the House of Representatives, became the Deputy Governor, an Ambassador to two countries simultaneously, Vice Chairman South West of the PDP, Deputy National Chairman (South) and his recent inauguration as the Chairman Board of Governors of the People’s Democratic Institute.
In all these positions so far held by Amb. Arapaja, there is no tasks committed to his hands that is not successful.
His cordial relationship, humility and absolute loyalty to the government of His Excellency, Engr. Seyi Makinde has been a source of motivation and lesson to many of us in politics.
