Hon. Saminu Riliwan Gbadamosi, popularly known as Wale Canada and the lawmaker representing Atisbo/Saki-East State Constituency in the Oyo State House of Assembly, has extended warm felicitations to workers across Oyo State and Nigeria at large on the occasion of this year’s Workers’ Day, commending their resilience, dedication, and invaluable contributions to national development.

In a statement issued to the media through his Media Aide, Mr. Jimoh O. Oladoja, to mark the celebration, the lawmaker noted that workers in Oyo State now have renewed reasons to celebrate, attributing this to the worker-friendly policies and people-oriented leadership of Governor Seyi Makinde.

He highlighted that the Makinde-led administration has consistently demonstrated a strong commitment to the welfare of workers through prompt payment of salaries, implementation of policies aimed at easing economic burdens, and initiatives designed to improve overall working conditions within the state.

According to Hon. Gbadamosi, the recent interventions of the state government, including financial support measures and reforms targeted at enhancing productivity, reflect a governance style rooted in compassion, fairness, and accountability.

“Workers remain the backbone of our society, and their sacrifices cannot be overstated. It is therefore commendable that under the leadership of Governor Seyi Makinde, deliberate efforts are being made to prioritize their welfare and ensure that their contributions are duly recognized and rewarded,” he stated.

Hon. Gbadamosi reaffirmed his unwavering commitment to advocating for initiatives that will improve the standard of living of workers within his constituency and beyond.

While wishing workers a peaceful and fulfilling celebration, the lawmaker encouraged them to remain steadfast and hopeful, noting that collective efforts between the government and the workforce will continue to drive sustainable growth and development in Oyo State.
