Ibadan, Oyo State — The lawmaker representing Atisbo/Saki-East State Constituency in the Oyo State House of Assembly and Chairman, House Committee on Health, Hon. Saminu Riliwan Gbadamosi (Wale Canada), has expressed deep sorrow over the passing of Alhaji Jimoh Adesope, former Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Atisbo Local Government, who died today.
In a condolence message made available to the press, Hon. Wale Canada described the late Alhaji Adesope as a committed party man, grassroots mobiliser, and bridge-builder, whose contributions to the growth and stability of the PDP in Atisbo Local Government remain indelible.
“Alhaji Jimoh Adesope was a man of conviction and humility, who devoted his time, energy, and wisdom to strengthening our party and fostering unity at the grassroots. His demise is a painful loss not only to the PDP family in Atisbo but to the entire political community,” the lawmaker said.
Hon. Wale Canada noted that the late party stalwart played a significant role in mentoring younger politicians and promoting peaceful political engagement within the local government and beyond.
He extended his heartfelt condolences to the family of the deceased, the PDP leadership in Atisbo Local Government, and all those touched by his life and service, praying that Almighty Allah grants him Al-Jannah Firdaus.
“May Allah forgive his shortcomings, accept his good deeds, and grant his family and loved ones the fortitude to bear this irreparable loss,” Hon. Wale Canada added.
