Unity, Inclusivity, Progress: Ona Ara PDP Holds Peaceful Ward Congresses, Stakeholders Hail Party Leadership

The People’s Democratic Party (PDP) stakeholders in Ona Ara Local Government have applauded the leadership of His Excellency, Governor Seyi Makinde, while commending the Executive Chairman, Dr. Temitope Kolapo GLORIOUS, for his inclusive approach that ensured the peaceful and successful conduct of the ward congresses across the council area.

A Freshvoice Newsmedia correspondent who monitored the exercise across all 11 wards in Ona Ara reported that party members and leaders were in high spirits, having actively participated in the consensus process that produced new ward executives.

It was confirmed that the consensus arrangement had been finalized before the congress, following a stakeholders’ meeting attended by the Deputy Speaker of the Oyo State House of Assembly, Hon. Muhammad Abiodun Fadeyi; Ona Ara Executive Chairman, Dr. Temitope Kolapo GLORIOUS; Senior Special Assistant to the Governor, Hon. Mufutau Olatunde Ogunremi; DG Oyo State Liaison Office Lagos and Abuja, Hon. Ezekiel Temitope Oladimeji OTOPE and party leader, Chief Waheed Ajao Adurodekun, among others.

Speaking with newsmen, Hon. Abiodun Fadeyi affirmed that the exercise was peaceful and that the full list of elected officers from Ona Ara had been submitted to the state leadership of the party.

At the Ward 5 Collation Center, Dr. Temitope GLORIOUS praised the leadership of the party in Oyo State and urged members to continue supporting Governor Seyi Makinde’s administration. He congratulated all newly elected ward executives across the 11 wards and encouraged them to remain committed to strengthening the party at the grassroots level.

On behalf of the Congress Committee, Hon. Mufutau Olatunde Ogunremi, Senior Special Assistant to the Governor, described the exercise as well-planned and widely embraced. He confirmed that the names of the new officers had been duly submitted to the state secretariat and appreciated the cooperation of all party aspirants ahead of the 2027 elections.

The peaceful and inclusive ward congresses in Ona Ara are being celebrated as a strong demonstration of unity, harmony, and preparedness within the PDP family in the build-up to the 2027 general elections.
