In response to recent tragic events in Ona Ara, the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), Ona Ara Chapter, under the leadership of Rev’d Father Stephen Balogun, joined hands with Christian leaders across the region to hold a powerful interdenominational prayer walk aimed at putting an end to all forms of evil occurrences in the community. The prayer walk, themed “Enough is Enough,” took place yesterday, Monday, December 12, 2024.
Freshvoice Newsmedia reports that the event saw a significant turnout of clergy, believers, and local residents, who walked in unity along key junctions, beginning from Olorunsogo to Oke Elesin. The prayer walk was a prophetic gathering, where leaders led fervent prayers at strategic points, calling upon divine intervention for peace, safety, and prosperity across Ona Ara land.
Pastor (Dr.) Seyi Olakanla, convener of the prayer walk, addressed attendees with a moving speech, stating, “We are here to declare that the days of darkness in Ona Ara are over. This prayer walk is more than just a gathering; it is a spiritual stand against evil. Our land shall not be overrun by any force of darkness, for we have God’s promise of peace and security. Enough is enough.”
The event received support from Ona Ara Local Government, Ilaji Resort, and various Christian groups, who stood in solidarity with CAN’s initiative. Together, they emphasized the importance of faith-led efforts to address the region’s challenges, underscoring the power of communal prayer in overcoming adversity.
CAN Chairman, Ona Ara Chapter, echoed this resolve, adding, “This prayer walk is a collective appeal to God to protect and bless our land, ending any cycle of tragedy and ushering in a new era of peace.”
This gathering stands as a testament to the resilience and faith of the Ona Ara community, with CAN and Christian leaders pledging to continue efforts to uplift Ona Ara through unity, prayer, and divine guidance.
