Top Nigerian Leaders to Attend 2024 International Human Rights Day Event in Ibadan: Focus on Empowerment and Development

All is set for 2024 International Human Rights Day Lectures/Awards, which will be held on December 10th at NUJ Press Center, Iyaganku GRA Ibadan, Oyo State.

The event, which aims to consolidate on the Human empowerment, development and service delivery at the Grassroots, will bring together Nigeria leaders across board, corporate bodies, Captain of industries, Public and Private servants and Humanitarian Foundations/Organisations to share ideas of our immediate environment and receive honour’s for contributing to the society and human development.

Comrade Abdul Semiu Olalekan Ajenifuja, Convener of Southern Coalitions of Civil Societies Organisations and Pro-Democracy Activists comprises of (17)Seventeen Southern States in Nigeria, confirmed their team’s readiness to host an Outstanding event, he noted that the essence of the initiative was to ensure a more cordial relationship of Nigeria leader’s and the citizens.

He said ” People who are making impact in different fields of Humanity should be Celebrated while they are alive and active, This year event would be segmented into three different sessions which includes Lectures, the keynote Address and main Award event, where 20 Impactful individuals would be honoured with Glass Frame, Gold Medal and Certificate of Induction into Hall of Great Humanitarian.

Ajenifuja also noted that there would be a launch of the Youth Entrepreneurship and Skills Acquisition center aimed at training young people on skills that would make them less dependent on government job.

Michael Uwagbana, the Secretary of the event Committee, noted that dignitaries especially from Abuja will be gracing the occasion such as Prof. Abdullahi Saleh Usman, the Chairman of NAHCON, Professor Aremu UN Laurette Ambassador, University of Abuja, while the Most Distinguished Deputy Minority Senate, Senator Akogun Lere Oyewumi will be the Chairman , Key Note Address by Otunba Dr Segun Showunmi and among those to be honoured included Elder Emmanuel Olaniyi Famurewa ( Bitemore), Hon. Dhikurulai Stanley Olajide, Hon. Abass Adigun, Hon Tolulope Philip, Hon. Bolanle Sarumi, Rt.Hon. Debo Ogundoyin, Engr. Dr. Ashiru ( Orbda), Chief Jubril Dotun Sanusi, Rt. Hon Daisi Elemide, Hon. Dr Folashade Adeyemo, Dr. Ezekiel Temitope Oladimeji, Hon.
