The Executive Assistant to the Governor of Oyo State on Disability Matters, Timothy Olufemi, has congratulated His Excellency, Governor Seyi Makinde, on the resounding victory of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate, Hon. Folajimi Oyekunle(DON), in the just-concluded election for the Federal House of Representatives, Ibadan North Federal Constituency.
Hon. Olufemi described the victory as a testament to Governor Makinde’s visionary leadership, inclusive governance, and tireless commitment to the people of Oyo State, particularly those at the grassroots and persons with disabilities.
“This triumph is not only a win for PDP, but a win for Governor Makinde, the people of Ibadan North, and the disability community,” he said. “The confidence reposed in the PDP by the electorate is a reflection of the Governor’s progressive agenda, which continues to place the welfare of all citizens regardless of status or ability at the center of governance.”
He further commended the voters for their active participation and saluted the resilience of persons with disabilities who came out to make their voices heard during the election.
“This victory underscores the truth that democracy thrives when everyone participates, and it is a clear signal that inclusion is working in Oyo State,” Olufemi added.
He extended heartfelt congratulations to Governor Seyi Makinde, the PDP family, Hon. Folajimi Oyekunle(DON), the people of Ibadan North, and especially persons with disabilities whose contributions continue to shape the state’s democratic process.
