This is a Victory for All – The GSMists Hail, Congratulate Hon. Folajimi Oyekunle DON

A prominent sociopolitical support group in Oyo State and extensively to the Diaspora, The GSMists, has significantly congratulate the newly elected House of Representatives member for Ibadan North Federal Constituency, Hon. Folajimi Oyekunle DON, on his victory in the August 16 Bye-Election.

In a statement signed by the State Coordinator, Prince Oluyinka Tella, The GSMists described the outcome of the election as “a victory for all”, not only for the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) but also for the people of Oyo State who continue to believe in the transformative leadership of Governor Seyi Makinde.

Prince Tella noted that the victory reflects the enduring popularity of the PDP in Oyo State and the trust reposed in the party to deliver quality governance at both state and federal levels.

“This is not just a win for Hon. Oyekunle or for our great party, the PDP. It is a collective victory for every citizen who believes in Governor Seyi Makinde’s leadership model, which is anchored on transparency, inclusiveness, and the people’s welfare,” he stated.

The GSMists further commended Governor Makinde for providing an enabling political atmosphere that ensures the PDP remains the party of choice in Oyo State, adding that his achievements continue to serve as a rallying point for party loyalists and grassroots supporters.

While congratulating Hon. Oyekunle on his electoral success, the group urged him to live up to expectations by providing quality representation, sponsoring people-oriented bills, and supporting youth and women empowerment initiatives in Ibadan North.

The GSMists concluded by reaffirming their unwavering support for the PDP and Governor Makinde, pledging to intensify mobilization and advocacy in preparation for future elections.
