Third Term Ticket: Agboworin Appreciates Gov. Makinde, Constituency Leaders, Other Critical Stakeholders

The lawmaker representing Ibadan North-East/South-East Federal Constituency, Abass Adigun (Agboworin), has expressed profound appreciation to the Governor of Oyo State, Seyi Makinde, party leaders, and key stakeholders in the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), for their support, following his emergence as the party’s consensus candidate for a third term.

In a statement released by his Media Group, on Saturday, which was made available to journalists in Ibadan, Agboworin described the overwhelming backing he received as humbling and deeply encouraging.

He noted that it reflects the collective confidence reposed in his leadership and representation in the last few years.

“I am deeply honoured and sincerely grateful to His Excellency, Governor Seyi Makinde, for his unwavering support, leadership, and belief in my capacity to continue serving our people.

“His commitment to good governance and inclusive leadership has remained a guiding light for many of us in public office,” he said.

The federal lawmaker also extended his appreciation to party leaders, elders, and stakeholders across Ibadan North-East and South-East constituencies, acknowledging their roles in fostering unity and ensuring a seamless process.

“I wish to specially appreciate our party leaders, elders, and critical stakeholders whose guidance, encouragement, and steadfastness have been instrumental in this journey.

“Your unity of purpose and dedication to the progress of our party and constituency made this possible,” the statement added.

He further thanked the people of the constituency for their continued trust and support, assuring them that he remains committed to delivering effective and people-oriented representation.

“To the good people of Ibadan North-East and South-East Federal Constituencies, I say thank you for your consistent support, prayers, and belief in our shared vision. This mandate is not mine alone; it belongs to all of us, and I remain fully committed to advancing our collective aspirations,” he added.

Agboworin, therefore, reaffirmed his dedication to sustaining ongoing developmental efforts and initiating new projects that will improve the welfare of his constituents, stressing that the next phase of his representation would be marked by greater impact.
