*THANK YOU TOUR: Ona-Ara Records Massive Turnout As Two Opposition Members Defect To APM*

The Egbeda/Ona-Ara Federal Constituency Thank You Tour, held in Ona-Ara Local Government, witnessed a massive turnout as party faithful, political stakeholders, community leaders, and residents gathered in large numbers to celebrate the growing acceptance of the Allied Peoples’ Movement (APM) across the federal constituency.

The event was led by the APM Governorship Candidate, Hon. Bimbo Adekanmbi, alongside his running mate, Engr. Muftau Open Salawu, who expressed heartfelt appreciation to members and supporters for their unwavering commitment and steadfast support for the party’s vision of a greater Oyo State.

Also in attendance were the APM Egbeda/Ona-Ara House of Representatives Candidate, Hon. (Dr.) Ezekiel Temitope Oladimeji (OTOPE); the Egbeda State House of Assembly Candidate, Hon. Olasunkanmi Babalola; and the Ona-Ara State House of Assembly Candidate, Rt. Hon. Abiodun Muhammad Fadeyi.

Among the distinguished personalities present were Elder Wole Oyelese; Hon. Olayemi Busari, Chairman of Egbeda Local Government; Hon. Sikiru Sanda, Oyo State Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP); Hon. Dayo Ogungbenro; the Oyo State Chairman of the Allied Peoples’ Movement (APM), Otunba Adegbenro Fagbemi; and the APM Oyo State Secretary, Hon. Demola Oke.

The event was hosted by the Chairman of Ona-Ara Local Government, Hon. Temitope Kola GLORIOUS.

Also present were the SSA to the Governor on SDGs,Hon. Mufutau Ogunremi, the DG liason Officer Egbeda-Onaara Federal Constituency, Hon. K. K. Obisesan, Baba Ajao Adurodekun, Baba Akin Alamu and Hon. Mosobalaje Bakare, alongside all APM party leaders, executives, and members from Egbeda and Ona-Ara Local Government Areas.

Furthermore, all Councillors, Supervisory Councillors, Special Assistants, political appointees, and other Local Government functionaries from Egbeda and Ona-Ara Local Governments were in attendance, demonstrating strong grassroots support for the Thank You Tour and the APM.

One of the major highlights of the event was the official defection of Mrs. Aderemi Adebisi alongsideher teemingsupporters, who dumped the All Progressives Congress (APC) for the Allied Peoples’ Movement (APM), and Princess with her associates, who also defected from the African Democratic Congress (ADC) to the APM. Their defection was greeted with loud cheers and described as a clear indication of the growing confidence of the people in the APM and its leadership.

In his address, Hon. Bimbo Adekanmbi reaffirmed the party’s commitment to purposeful leadership, inclusive governance, quality representation, and grassroots development. He urged members to remain united, intensify grassroots mobilization, and work collectively towards securing victory for all APM candidates in the forthcoming elections.

The programme was professionally anchored by Mr. Michael Oluwaseun Ogunsina, whose coordination contributed to the smooth and successful conduct of the event.

The Thank You Tour concluded on a high note with appreciation, strengthened unity, and a shared commitment among party members and supporters to continue building a formidable political movement capable of delivering sustainable development and good governance across Egbeda/Ona-Ara Federal Constituency and Oyo State.
