It was a moment of unity and celebration on Thursday as Team Ibo Nation in Oyo State unanimously endorsed Governor Seyi Makinde for President and Hon. Bimbo Adekanmbi for Governor, pledging total support for all candidates of the All Progressives Movement, APM, in the 2027 general elections.
The endorsement was made during a strategic mobilization visit by the *DG, Youth Mobilization of Omituntun 3.0* to leaders, traders, artisans and youths of the Ibo community across Ibadan metropolis.
Addressing the large gathering, Hon. Kazeem Bolarinwa said the community was full of joy to host the Omituntun 3.0 team and to declare their position ahead of 2027.
He explained that the decision was not based on sentiment but on verifiable achievements of the Makinde administration in Oyo State over the last six years.

“We are full of joy as we welcome the DG, Youth Mobilization of Omituntun 3.0 to our midst today. We have examined the records, we have seen the roads, the schools, the security, and how businesses are thriving.
On behalf of Team Ibo Nation, we unanimously assure you that we will vote for Governor Seyi Makinde as President, Hon. Bimbo Adekanmbi as Governor, and all candidates of APM across board,” Hon. Bolarinwa declared to loud cheers.
He added that the Ibo community, being a major stakeholder in trade and commerce in Oyo, will lead voter education and PVC mobilization in all 12 wards of Ibadan South West and beyond.
The DG, Youth Mobilization of Omituntun 3.0, while responding, commended Team Ibo Nation for their patriotism, unity, and commitment to peaceful coexistence in Oyo State.
He said the visit was part of the statewide grassroots engagement of Omituntun 3.0 to take the message of continuity and consolidation to every community, irrespective of tribe or religion.
“This endorsement shows that people are now verifying things and keeping their records intact. What we are doing in Oyo is practical governance: better roads, education reforms, teacher recruitment, LAUTECH’s transformation, stronger IGR, agribusiness, security, and care for workers and pensioners.
What has worked in Oyo can and will work for Nigeria. That is why we are here to mobilize you,” the DG Youth Mobilzation stated.
He urged Ibo youths to take ownership of the campaign at the polling unit level and to counter misinformation with facts.
“Irrational voice notes and doctored videos will not change the minds of Oyo voters. You are the ones on ground. Go and tell your people the truth,” he charged.
They said the inclusion of non-indigenes in the Omituntun 3.0 structure proves that the movement is truly about “putting the people first.”
The mobilization tour ended with a solidarity walk, prayers for Nigeria and Oyo State, and the presentation of APM brochures and membership forms to Team Ibo Nation coordinators.
With this endorsement, Omituntun 3.0 says it has secured one of its biggest non-indigene voting blocs ahead of 2027, as the DG, Youth Mobilization continues his tour to other communities across the state.
