The General Public Is Informed of Recent Developments Regarding the Leadership of the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW) Federation And the Misleading Rumors Being Circulated.

Alhaji Dr. Musliu Ayinde Akinsanya, Commonly Known As Mc Oluomo, Was Officially Elected As the National President of the Union On November 10, 2024. His Election Reflects the Confidence Placed In Him By All the Union Delegates After Recognizing His Leadership Abilities And Dedication to the transport Sector.

The Election took Place During the Union’s Quadrennial Delegate Conference At the Zonal Secretariat Along the Osogbo/Ikirun Road, All Delegates From Lagos, Ogun, Ondo, And Ekiti States Participated In the Process, Which Was Conducted In Accordance With the Union’s Constitution, Mc Oluomo Who Was the Sole Candidate Was Elected Unanimously. The Acting National President, Alh Aliyu Issa-Ore Was Ably Represented By the Union Secretary With Some Other Officials From the National Headquarters Who Oversaw the Process to Ensure transparency And Adherence to Guidelines.

After His Election, Alh Musiliu Ayinde Akinsanya Mc Oluomo Emphasized the Importance of Peace And Unity Among Members, He Extended An olive Branch By Offering Forgiveness to those Who May Have Wronged Him And Asked For the Same In Return. He Stressed that Protecting the Union And It’s Members’ Livelihoods Should Remain a Shared Priority And Vowed to Work towards Strengthening the Organization.

Unfortunately, Some Have Chosen to Ridicule His Rise to the National Presidency And Started Spreading False Claims to Undermine His Leadership. A Video Circulating Online In the Past Few Days Suggested that His Belongings Were thrown Out of His Office In Lagos. This Claim Is Entirely Inaccurate, the Video Depicts a Routine Process of Relocating Personal Items From His Former Office, Which Is a Standard Administrative Procedure During transitions to New Roles.

Mc Oluomo’s Leadership Is Rooted In Fairness, Inclusivity And a Genuine Commitment to the Welfare of transport Workers, As a Former Chairman of the NURTW Lagos State Chapter, He Consistently Worked to Address Members’ Concerns And Improve their Well-Being. His Ability to Unite People And Deliver tangible Results Has Earned Him Respect And Recognition Across the Union.

The Public Is Urged to Disregard Any Misinformation And Focus On the Positive Strides Being Made Under His Leadership. His Election Marks a New Chapter For the NURTW, One Focused On Unity, Progress And Stability. With His Guidance, the Union Is Positioned to Achieve Significant Development And Contribute to the Growth of Nigeria’s transport Sector.
